Children's Commissioner Jane Searle

As Children's Commissioner, Jane Searle is the independent advocate for all mokopuna. She listens to children and young people and carries their voices, perspectives and experiences to decision-makers across Government and the community sector.

Jane is focussed on ensuring the rights, safety, wellbeing, and voices of all 1.2 million mokopuna in Aotearoa New Zealand remain central to the decisions, policies, and services that affect their lives.
