Submission on Restoring Citizenship Removed by Citizenship (Western Samoa) Act 1982 Bill

In this submission, Mana Mokopuna - Children and Young People's Commission strongly advocates for the Committee to commend this Bill to the House to address historical harms to Samoan aiga.

Additionally, we call on the Committee to include mokopuna voices and perspectives in consideration of this Bill, and to take an intergenerational view which incorporates the rights of mokopuna to their identity, family relations and culture.
